Benjy Bluman was elected the 61st President of the Collegiate Basketball Officials Association ( CBOA) at the annual meeting held in Atlantic City.
He has been a member of CBOA since 1982 and has served as Vice President and Area Director before assuming the position of President.
While he is still officiating both high school and college, his resume shows experience of collegiate basketball officiating at all levels.
Currently he is the President of IAABO Board 53, Buffalo NY, were he has been a member since 1974.
Benjy graduated from Buffalo State is 1968 and was inducted into the college’s sports hall of fame in 1990. He was co-captain of the 1st basketball team in the school's history to qualify for post season play.
Benjy and his wife Laurie have been married for 41years and have two sons, Joshua 32 and Kory 23. Also he has been employed by HSBC Bank USA N. A. for 41 years where he is currently First Vice President.
